KineticIQ Privacy Policy

KineticIQ ("we", "our", or "us") operates the KineticIQ mobile application. KineticIQ is currently an iOS application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide personalized fitness coaching:

• First name
• Email address (for account creation)
• Body metrics (weight, height, age)
• Biological sex (optional) — used to calculate your calorie and macronutrient targets
• Smoking or vaping status
• Fitness goals and preferences
• Workout schedule and how often you train
• Workout and meal tracking data
• Dietary preferences and allergies
• Step count from Apple HealthKit — optional and read-only. It is read on your device to display your daily steps.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalized workout and meal plans using KineticIQ's own matching engine
• To provide AI coaching tailored to your goals
• To track your fitness progress over time
• To improve our services

AI and Data Processing

Your meal and workout plan is built by KineticIQ's own matching engine. It is not generated by, and is not sent to, a third-party AI model.

KineticIQ uses Anthropic's Claude AI for a limited set of features: AI coaching conversations, AI-generated recipe and workout detail, and interpreting the fitness goal you describe during onboarding.

These AI features are off until you give explicit consent. Only after you consent do we send the following to Anthropic:

• Your fitness goals and how often you can work out
• Health details you provide: weight, height, age, and biological sex (biological sex is included only in AI Coach conversations)
• Smoking or vaping status
• Dietary preferences, allergies, and food restrictions
• Your current workout and meal plan, so the coach can give advice about it
• The messages you send to your AI coach

We do not send your name, your email address, or your Apple Health step-count data to Anthropic. Anything you type into a coach message is sent as part of that conversation, so avoid including information you would not want shared. This data is processed by Anthropic under their privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

You can withdraw AI consent at any time in Profile. Withdrawing disables AI features, and no further data is sent to Anthropic.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Third Party Services

• Google Firebase (authentication and data storage)
• Anthropic (AI processing)
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — automatic native crash reporting, so we can diagnose and fix crashes. The app does not configure crash reports with your name or email address.
• RevenueCat — manages KineticIQ Pro subscriptions and purchase status
• Apple HealthKit — optional, read-only access to your step count

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and app data at any time from within the app: Profile → Delete Account. You can also edit your profile information in the app, or contact us with any question about your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
